Broccoli Sprout Protein Shake

Broccoli sprouts which you can read about on this link as to why they are uber important for you to eat as many times a week as possible, are the star of this protein shake.  It is full of organic healthy protein, seeds and the best fat, (avocado) out there to keep you full.  I know some of you may be thinking bleh! You may not like the flavor of avocado, you don’t taste it.

Ready to blend!

It gives this shake thick creaminess like a banana would without all the carbs.  Chia seeds which are rich in potassium, magnesium and protein are in this shake.  Hemp hearts which are hulled hemp seeds, (just a lot cuter name for them, don’t you think so?) have added protein and lots of healthy omega’s.  And then there are ground flax seeds again high in omega’s a rich source of micronutrients.  So now you are thinking ok, Betty with all these health benefits- does it taste good? It does!  Frozen organic blueberries or you could use another type of frozen berrie make it delicious.  I use organic vanilla flavored pea protein from Trader Joe’s.

Broccoli Sprout Protein Shake

I have tried the unflavored pea protein and did not care for the flavor the shake as well.  The reason I like this particular protein powder is that it does not use stevia. I just do not care for the taste of stevia so I avoid it. Also,  organic unsweetened vanilla almond milk is used.  This smoothie goes together in 3 minutes or less and it is so filling.  This is my go-to breakfast most mornings.  It keeps me full for hours.  Ninja blender makes this super fast and smooth.  Ok, start your blenders and Whirrr!  What is your favorite protein shake ingredients?  I’d love to hear about it!
